If you responded yes to 5 or more of the questions, there is a strong possibility the hand symptoms you are experiencing are, at least in part, related to carpal tunnel syndrome.
If you responded yes to fewer than 5 of the questions, it is more likely your symptoms are caused by something else. Possible causes could be nerve irritation in the neck (cervical radiculopathy), shoulder (brachial plexus) or at the elbow (ulnar nerve entrapment).
Even if it appears it is carpal tunnel syndrome, one of these other issues can also contribute to the symptoms. Proper diagnosis is key!
